Models shoot
Last Sunday, Mr. Zainal Abd Halim (a renowned REUTERS photojournalist) was here in town to give a photography talk titled "My job, my passion.." at the Federal Hotel Kuala Lumpur. He spent years in the field from Afghanistan battlefield to Beijing Olympics, witnessed world events through the lenses.
After the talk, we had some models shooting session.

A850 and A900
Hands on on the new Sony Full Frame A850 and A900, the only differences are matte body finish, 98% coverage viewfinder and 3fps. You save 1k for it, quite worth it huh? It's even cheaper than the Nikon D300s, where to find a full frame camera with that kind of price tag?
Sony's marketing strategy is superb, first with the introduction of the A230/A330/A380 to lure all the compact/prosumer camera users or even new camera users to venture into DSLRs world , then slowly poison them with the pro-entry level A500/A550, then with the upcoming mid-range (highest range for APS-C sensor) A730 and the two full frame A850/A900.
Sony is building up their DSLR market status. I am sure one day it will overtake other competitors.

High Key Photography
I gave high key photography a try. High key photography simply means over expose your photo but not excessively. It normally preserve the dark colour, or more technically the shadow part but overblown the bright colour, or in another word, the highlight. It normally brings out the 'happy' mood of a photo.
This is the normal portrait photo that is abundant all over the internet.
The skin tone is still there but with a little bit over exposed, the subject stands out more.
The details of the hair and eyes are still there.
A coloured high key photo.
Sepia mode.
This is a lil bit over-exposed though.
I like the light falls from the top to show the hair light.

Macro
These are the macro shots from Zoo Negara. We paid extra RM 5 just to visit the butterfly farm with only a few pathetic butterflies.

Scorpions
this was shot without flash
this was shot with flash

amazing isn't it?
the first photo shows how the scorpions look like when you see with naked eyes under UV light.
the second photo reveals the real colour of the scorpions when you see under normal light.
a mixture of normal light and UV light will produce blueish colour as what you can see in third photo.
